Save, organize and search LinkedIn posts with notes
Keep LinkedIn posts with their sources and your own notes, organize them into project collections, and search the saved text in Vasvel.
1. Start with something you need to use
Choose a post that supports a real task: a client question, a research project or an article. Saving everything creates more work later. Keep a short note about why the source matters.
2. Capture from the page
In Chrome with the Vasvel extension installed and signed in, open the post and use the extension to save it. You can also highlight a specific passage. Check the captured text before relying on it: feed layouts, access restrictions and source changes can affect the result. Vasvel does not automatically import your historical LinkedIn saved posts.
3. Use the web app without an extension
Create a note from text you choose to copy, or use Quick Save to paste a publicly accessible URL. A pasted URL cannot use your signed-in LinkedIn session. If extraction fails, copy the relevant passage into a note and include the source URL.
4. Organize for the work ahead
Add related sources to a collection named after the project or deliverable. Search your library by a memorable phrase, author or subject. Open the original saved content to check an AI summary.
5. Add your own thinking
Open a saved item, choose Edit, and add a personal note explaining why it matters or where you disagree. Keep the captured author’s text in Original Content. To write a separate research note, choose New card, enter a title and your text, then Save Card. A source URL and AI summary are optional.
6. Find a post you saved earlier
Use Search saved items with a phrase you remember, then narrow the results by source or category. For example, a consultant preparing an onboarding proposal can collect relevant posts in one client collection and return to the original evidence before making a recommendation. Search covers material saved in Vasvel; it is not a search of your entire LinkedIn account.
7. Ask and verify
Ask a specific question about saved material. Vasvel supplies links to the saved sources it cites. AI can miss context or make mistakes: check those sources before using an answer in client work or a published piece.
8. Know the boundaries
Saving a post does not guarantee preservation of every comment, linked document or video. Browser capture and server-side pasted-link extraction have different access. PDF reading, universal video transcription and a complete offline reading app are not current promises.
